It should be noted that I hosted the show from around 2000 (perhaps slightly earlier) until 2005, when I was fined by the ESR [National Council for Radio and Television] and the station canceled it. It was the first and only radio show in Greece focusing on LGBTQ+ issues, and it had been fought for by the Greek Homosexual Community. When I took it over, the show had been off the air for a long time, as no one could be found to host it. I took charge, and for the first six episodes, we produced it with Vangelis Giannelos and Paul Sofianos. However, due to time constraints, they stepped away, and I continued running it on behalf of the Greek Homosexual Community.

With absolute humility, I confess that I brought the show to its peak listenership through tremendous consistency – in those 5+ years, I likely missed no more than 2 episodes. I had put in incredible work and promotion through flyers, press releases, and every advertising method I could devise – until it finally reached the ears of the homophobic ESR.

The audience of the show has the opportunity to hear all the mainstream UK Hit songs and remixes on rare radio broadcasts such as I can’t get you outta of my head VS flawlessThe show’s musical preference is UK Garage and R&B, resulting in the show being characterized by a musical style most of the time…Also soundtracks from films with gay content such as Pink Full Speed ​​by Sony Music and finally tributes to gay & lesbian singers such as Pet Shop Boys, Rem, George Michael, Boy George, Jimmy Sommerville etc….

The advertising of the first and only Athens Gay & Lesbian Radio Show is done by well-known and popular gay web sites gay.gr, www.gaygreece.gr and lesbian.gr, which is also owned by producer Maria Cyber.Another powerful advertising medium is print advertising. Every month, 7,000 flyers fill the gay Athenian scene and advertise Gay & Lesbian events.
The show is listed as a central supporter of each event. The flyers are produced and promoted by Cyberdykes (The first LGBT promotion company in Greece)
