Maria Cyber is one of the first lesbian activists in the Greek LGBTQI+ scene.

She has studied photography, graphic design, web design and cinematography.

In 2000 she created the largest portal for lesbians in Greece, lesbian.gr, as well as the Outview Film Festival in 2007: Athens International LGBTQI Film Festival – www.outview.gr

In 2007 she also created the first interactive and most popular webradio in Greece, Mindradio.gr, which won the 2008 Ermis Gold Award in the internet category.

In 2010 she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (LADA) and created the largest portal in Greece for people with Diabetes, glykouli.gr

She is also a queer filmmaker who directs short budget-free films that bring an inspiring queer energy to the screen about contemporary social issues!

Maria Cyber was honored with the Arts and Letters Award from the French Ministry of Culture in May 2021.
